The apartments Anevolema are located in the village of Kamilari, in central South Crete.

The village also benefits from a very nice geographical situation: 2.5 km from the sand beach of Kalamaki and Kommos, 6 and 11 km from bigger towns of Tymbaki and Mires (known for their typical markets), 6 km from Matala, about 1 hour drive from Heraklion and Rethymnon, and 3 kilometers from the minoan sites of Faistos and Agia Triada. Stelios, who owns the Anevolema apartments, was born here. He is a farmer, and is growing artichokes, watermelons, olive-trees, etc. in the fields surrounding Kamilari. He knows in depth his native region, and loves to help his guests and give them advises on where to go, and when, and how...

Let’s just add that the region combines very different kinds of interests. Within just 20 km around the village, you will already find many places of interests, whatever you are looking for: lovers of nature will enjoy walking in the gorges of the Psiloritis and Asteroussia mountains, discovering the paths under the olive trees or the wildest parts of the Cretan south coast.
Those who want to relax, enjoy the sea and the best of the Mediterranean climate and food will also find a ideal place to stay in Kamilari. Since we are located near both south and west-oriented coasts, it is always possible to find a protected beach, even on windy days.
